RJ's core purpose is to serve the needs of others and to help people obtain the American Dream of home ownership. His business is relationship-based and he believes in a client-for-life philosophy. About RJ

RJ has been in the real estate business for over 5 years. His background as a teacher gives him the unique ability to explain the loan process in an understandable way and coach his clients through the process.

RJ grew up in Cedar Rapids, IA and studied teaching at the University of Iowa. After graduating from Iowa, he spent several years traveling and having life experiences. For three years, RJ was a professional paintball player, spending one of those years In Copenhagen, Denmark playing with the Danish team. After that, he spent 2 years as a teacher, one of those years in Tegucigalpa, Honduras at the American School.

After a winter in Taos, NM working at the ski resort, RJ settled down in Colorado in 2001. It was there that he began his real estate career, earning his real estate licensure in 2001. Shortly thereafter, he began his career as a mortgage banker.

RJ was married on October 15th, 2005 to Lynn Marie Murphy in Doylestown, PA.  They have two children, Chase age 2, and Ava, 8 months.

"My husband and I began searching for a mortgage lender in the fall of 2003. Unfortunately, because we had some credit problems, our search became quite frustrating. Several lenders made us feel very uncomfortable; they were, for the most part, rather pretentious and dismissive.
